TAKE BABY STEPS

WHEN we think about any exam ,first question which arises in our mind is from where to start? So first of all what we need to do is to understand the nature of exam and for what purpose its being conducted. Each year UGC conducts NET-JRF exam twice for all those students who have either passed the qualifying(masters) exam or are in their final year.Though ugc has changed the pattern but the syllabus remains the same therefore before starting your preperation, get the previous years papers and syllabus together and go through it..The eligibilty criteria makes it clear that the level of question would be of masters.BUT there is no denial that a good understanding of the subject at graduation level is required, because in the second paper questions are of that level.SO "GO BACK TO VEDAS(I MEAN BASICS :p)".If we closely analyse the previous year papers since the introduction of objective papers, we can make that there is a sudden jump in the standard of questions.IN JUNE 2012, questions were of factual kind and it did not require deep knowledge.Again in DEC NET ,it did not require much struggle if you had solved last ten years papers. But this year it was like a hairpin turn. Most of the students complained that the paper was tough. Now here i want to make it clear that paper was tough because all these years this exam is considered for back-up among those who prepare for upsc and only few give it a serious thought for full time occupation and this the reason UGC is again planning to change the screening process.THEREFORE We will have to focus on not only facts and theories but on application too.DO NOT fall prey of  any such theory that its tough, only thing u need to keep in mind that hard work will surely pay..Lets begin :)
